How to write Facebook ad copy that stops the scroll
Scroll-stopping ad copy has a structure. Problem. Stakes. Promise. Proof. Call to action. This sequence stops the scroll because it creates curiosity. Your reader doesn't know what happens next. They keep reading to find out.
The Four-Part Ad Copy Formula
Hook: Start with your reader's desire or pain point. 'If you love paranormal romance with slow-burn chemistry...' Promise: What does your book deliver? 'You'll get a fated mates story with emotional depth.' Proof: Why should they believe you? 'Readers loved the unexpected twist in chapter 7.' Call to action: Make it easy. 'Grab your copy today.'
Why This Structure Works
This structure mirrors how your brain processes information. It starts with relevance (Is this for me?), moves to value (Will I like it?), adds social proof (Do others like it?), and ends with action (How do I get it?). Follow this and your ad converts.
